Vacation
employment in
Germany for
students from
abroad
We offer work especially for students as helpers in
Germany. Our service is free of charge for the student.
The student does not have to pay anything for the
mediation the only costs he has to pay are the
transport costs to Germany to work and possibly back.
Some German companies even pay the arrival and
return travel costs for the Ukrainian students.
Who can apply?
Applicants are
students between the
ages of 18 and 35
years. You must be
enrolled at a
university or college
in abroad (not
students at distance
learning institutions).
Do students need a work permit?
Students outside the European Community are only
allowed to work in Germany if the holiday employment has
been approved by the German authorities with a
confirmation of the holiday employment. The permit is
evidenced by an official document bearing the official seal
of the Authority.
Students within the European Community do not need a
permit, and can work within the semester break.
How long can I work?
It is not mandatory but English or German is an advantage.
Also work experience is an
advantage. You must be
prepared to work in
Germany for at least two
months. You improve your
chances of finding a job the
longer you have the
opportunity to work and the
more industries you accept.
You should also be very
flexible, mobile and ready to
work anywhere in Germany.
Special requests can not be
considered. Likewise, it is not possible to be referred to a
particular employer. If you state in the application that you
have a driving license, you should be able to drive a
suitable vehicle (for example tractor, car). In this case,
please enclose a copy of your driver's license with your
application documents.
In this regard, please pay attention to the accuracy of
your information, as the employer could otherwise
dismiss you.
Where can I apply?
Students outside the European Union can submit the
application documents directly to Bickmann-Marketing as
their recruitment consultant and register as candidates on
this website at the bottom of the application form.
Which documents belong to a complete
application?
A complete application includes the application form, an
original enrollment certificate 2 current passport photos,
possibly the copy of the driver's license.
Our tip: Please have the enrollment certificate issued twice,
as you may need it for your employer if you have a
placement. When submitting the application documents,
you must ensure that only complete application documents
can be accepted. Incomplete, photocopied and late
applications will not be considered.
Please note that for the summer semester break in June -
August all your documents must be available at the latest in
October of the previous year at the Bickmann Marketing.
Without the observance of this early date a mediation to
Germany is not possible.
What about accommodation and meals?
Many employers offer accommodation and / or meals and
deduct the costs from their wages. Sometimes you share a
room or apartment with other students. If your employer
does not have accommodation for you, he will help you to
find accommodation.
How and where do I apply for my visa?
The placement certificate also serves to apply for a visa, if
necessary. The visa is issued by the German diplomatic
mission (Embassy / Consulate). The visa process can be
time consuming. Since there may be longer waiting times
due to high demand, an appointment should be booked
early (several weeks before the travel date). The conciliation
certificate should therefore also be requested as early as
possible.
